Get It Right/Is It Right

Anything that comes easy isn’t meant to be had

Our love is aging although its still new 

There will be tears and bruises and heart ache 

Until we get it right 

We don’t know what’s perfect bc no one is 

Looking around to emulate what isn’t us is pointless 

Two individuals with wide eyes and fresh minds

Trying to get it right 

We spotted each other with hurt in our heart and tears in our eyes

But when our hands joined and intertwined we felt hope

Faith in us and forgiveness and want

Almost got it right
